Sam Boyak – landed on Utah Beach D Day +2 in 1944 as a young man from the state of Utah…he remembers well asking where am I…’Utah Beach son’ was the answer…he still shakes his head to this day at that recollection, Sam is 94 now.

Twice Sam has left America – twice he’s left Utah to come to Utah Beach! We had the very great privilege to host Sam & his daughter here at Ferme de l’Eglise 4 years ago when Jan bought him over for his 90th birthday.

Local historians got involved and helped Sam retrace some of his footsteps here in the area – we even found bullet holes still in the wall he made back in June 1944!
